PETA demands prohibition of dog shows

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has placed a demand before the government to prohibit dog shows, said the official website."Intentionally breeding dogs for their looks while millions are on the streets and dying for lack of good homes? Kennel clubs just don't get it," said the website.Dog shows are organised to promote "purebred" dogs and to reinforce the stereotype that purebreds are better than Indian dogs.
