Miami company trains dog in sniffing out Chinese drywall
A South Florida company has recruited a German Shepherd to help with South Florida's Chinese drywall problem.The newly created K-9 Detection Services, which has offices in Miami and Sarasota, has trained 2-year-old Shadow in how to detect the drywall in homes, WPLG-Ch. 10 reports.As many as 36,000 homes in Florida and 100,000 nationwide may contain the imported wallboard, which can give off a sulfurous "rotten egg" odor, tarnish metals and ruin appliances and electronics by corroding pipes and wires
