Residents displaced by apartment complex blaze

Everyone escaped a burning apartment building in south Bloomington as firefighters from seven engine companies -- including three from Normal -- fought a blaze at Building H of the Brickyard Apartments complex near the Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center on Thursday morning.The fire at 20 Brickyard Drive, which was reported at about 10:30 a.m., was mostly contained to attic spaces of the three-story building. Trucks with aerial hoses could not be used to put out the fire because of the building's roof
